My Story
Jessica Yañez is a storyteller, podcast pioneer, and cultural connector who turns conversations into celebrations. As the dynamic Founder and Host of The Wine & Chisme Podcast, she's reimagining how diverse narratives are shared—one glass of wine and heartfelt conversation at a time.
Born and raised in the suburbs of San Diego, Jessica's lifelong passion has been human connection. Her natural curiosity, evident since childhood when she would eagerly befriend new students, has blossomed into a powerful platform that amplifies marginalized voices. Through The Wine & Chisme Podcast, she creates an intimate space where professionals, artists, and changemakers across communities of color can share their unfiltered stories of career, love, and personal transformation.
Beyond podcasting, Jessica is a trailblazing advocate for representation in the wine industry. In 2021, she launched the first comprehensive directory of Latiné-owned wine brands in the United States—challenging long-standing narratives about who works the land and who owns the brands. Her work has not only highlighted entrepreneurial excellence but has also reshaped conversations about cultural ownership and economic empowerment.
Her impact has been widely recognized, with features in Mitú, Bella Magazine, and People Chica. She's been nominated for Best Wine Podcast at Wine & Culture Fest and honored as a Latina of Influence by Hispanic Lifestyle Magazine—testaments to her commitment to authentic storytelling and community building.
More than a podcaster, Jessica is a cultural architect—crafting spaces where stories breathe, identities are celebrated, and connections are made over the simple, shared pleasure of a good wine and genuine conversation.
"Everyone has a story. I just help people find and share it."
